Hello, I am Pam Shervanick. Formally, I am a Doctor of Osteopathic medicine who completed my Psychiatric training at Brown University. Working as a Psychiatrist for 20 years, and overcoming my own serious health issues, my work today is not what it was when I first began my private practice in 2009.
Over the years working with patients, I learned so much about the beautiful differences in people who present with mental health challenges. I discovered the beauty in their sensitivities, their gifts, and the damage that can be done by being told they are broken and will never ‘get better’.
As the landscape of medicine shifted abruptly many years ago, and insurance companies took medications from people who were stable to put them on cheaper options, I began to seek additional tools for my patients that were not prescription medications, so that they could get better and stay better.
What I learned was enormous. Off of medications, and with appropriate nutritional, nutraceutical, emotional and spiritual support, people were not just okay, but they often thrived. Incorporating the knowledge that ‘mental illness’ has physical and cellular components, locating and addressing the source of the issues, both on a cellular and spiritual level, transformed a person into a stable, healthy and well individual.
My goal working with people today is to detoxify, nourish and shift limiting unconscious beliefs so that they can transform and heal into their gifted, true selves.
